 Maria, Hygienist
Born and raised in Astoria on the Oregon Coast, Maria started as an orthodontic assistant and continued her career earning her Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene from Portland Community College.
Maria soon started working for the founder of Sleep Dentistry of Portland and Vancouver and has celebrated 38 years with the practice which has led to the formation of many long-lasting relationships with her patients. Being able to watch patients get over their fear and anxiety is something that she finds very rewarding.
She has been a key participant in Dentistry from the Heart since its commencement at Sleep Dentistry of Portland and is eager to give back to the community when possible.
Outside of the office, Maria loves spending her free time fishing whenever possible and is fiercely competitive when it comes to razor clamming with her husband. Baking treats is something she enjoys sharing with our office staff, friends, and family.
 Vicki, Hygienist
Originally from Colombia, Vicki is bilingual and speaks both English and Spanish. She moved to the United States more than ten years ago and began working for the Multnomah County Dental Clinics.
She decided to return to school to pursue her dental hygiene degree. She graduated from Mt. Hood Community College in 2011 with high honors.
While studying at Mt. Hood, her passion for promoting dental health and the prevention of oral disease earned her the American Dental Hygiene Association Professionalism Award
for academic excellence.
Vicki offers compassion and dedication to each of her patients. She is a member of the American American Dental Hygiene Association and participates in monthly meetings to stay current with advances in dental hygiene.
